Supply Chain


At Allied Hygiene, we have built long-standing partnerships with a broad range of suppliers based locally and globally.   We ensure these align with our quality standards and accreditations, both key to the quality assurance we provide our customers for our products.

These essential relationships guarantee our customers receive the best quality products at the best price, as well as provide us with direct immediate insight into market changes and trends. With this, and our system Oracle Netsuite, we have set strategies which allow us to proactively adapt our material procurement. We accurately track demands, detect unforeseen spikes, and monitor potential impacts to allow us to adjust quickly and plan ahead. This is fundamental in minimising disruptions in our supply chain and, as part of our ISO certifications, assessing our overall product quality and supplier reliability on a regular basis.



Materials Procurement


As part of our material procurement, Allied is always forward-looking. In partnership with our chemical suppliers, we work together to achieve improved efficacy results for our wet wipe substrates and ensure current and future compliance with biocidal, cosmetic, or detergent regulations. We strive to achieve responsible sourcing and supply sustainability by reducing the use of plastics, choosing sustainable alternatives where possible and optimising our logistics to reduce our carbon footprint.



In-House Checks


At Allied, quality is our priority. Our in-house quality control checks adhere to our stringent Quality Management System (QMS) standard. Our dedicated team conducts regular calibration of equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability.

From start to finish, production conducts several checks on the products. Weight checks are in place at start-up, and continue until the job ends to ensure each product meets specifications. Other checks include perforations on the substrate, chemical fill rate, labels, seals, batches and boxes. Before our operators continue production, supervisors sign off each work order after thoroughly checking the product. To further guarantee quality, using our cloud-based operating software, all raw components and finished products have allocated identification numbers which are used on purchase orders and bills of materials, along with product descriptions to ensure consistency.



Barcoding & Traceability


At Allied Hygiene, our commitment to delivering high quality wet and dry wipes is exemplified through our advanced Quality Control measures. One key element that has significantly elevated our standards is the implementation of a cutting-edge batch traceability system supported by barcode scanning technology.

Upon the arrival of raw materials and components, our barcode scanning system plays a pivotal role in expediting the goods receiving process. Each item is assigned a unique barcode, allowing for quick and accurate verification against our purchase orders. This not only reduces the likelihood of receiving incorrect or damaged materials but also ensures that we maintain precise inventory records, contributing to efficient supply chain management.

During the manufacturing process, barcode scanners continue to play a crucial role. They are utilised to track and trace the movement of materials and components, ensuring that the correct ingredients are incorporated into each batch. This precision minimises errors, enhances production efficiency, and upholds the high quality of our wipes

As finished products move to our warehouse, barcode scanners come into play once again. They enable our staff to efficiently locate and pick items for dispatch, significantly reducing errors in product picking and packing. This level of accuracy not only enhances our operational efficiency but also contributes to minimising waste and optimising overall resource utilisation. The seamless integration of barcode scanners from goods received to dispatch provides an end-to-end solution that enhances the reliability and transparency of our supply chain.
